Here are several nursing courses to choose from:
EMT (fast track) – if helping others in emergencies interests you, you might want to try a training program that will make you a certified EMT professional. With this training, you can become a medical first responder. You will learn the skills needed to pass your NREMT exam and to be qualified to respond in emergency care situations. Prospective job placements include ambulance companies, fire departments, hospitals, police departments, large stadiums, special events, and more.
Nursing Assistant – if you lean towards a job that isn’t more mobile or outdoors, you might want to consider working as a nurse assistant. The Healthcare Academy of California also has a program for aspiring CNAs. It’s 23 training days; weekday and weekend courses are available. With this training, you will acquire skills needed in hospital and nursing care facilities. A certified nursing assistant program will prepare you for a long-term career in the healthcare industry.
Continuing education – if you are an EMT or a nursing assistant who wants to refresh your industry knowledge or learn additional skills, refresher courses are also available at HAC. These courses keep you updated on current issues, emerging trends, additional skills, and specialty certifications, providing an edge in the industry.
